Growing Guide for Liquorice

Fill a pot or tray with good quality moist seed compost.
Firm down the surface of the compost.
Place the seeds on the surface of the compost and gently push them until half the seed is buried.
The seeds need light to germinate but need to be kept moist so don't bury to deep,
Cover the seeds lightly with vermiculite.
Keep the pot or tray at a temperature of between 15-20C (59-68F). Germination is slow and erratic.
When the seedlings are large enough to handle, pot up into 7.5cm (3in) pots.
Harden the plants of outside after the last frost when they can be planted 1m (3ft) apart.
Best results are obtained when planted in well drained, fertile soil in full sun.
